Char Dham Yatra 2026 – Complete Travel Guide
Char Dham Yatra 2026 – Complete Travel Guide
The Char Dham Yatra is one of India's most revered pilgrimage circuits, taking devotees through four ancient Himalayan shrines located in Uttarakhand. The journey covers Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath — each situated at high altitude and associated with a major river or deity in Hindu tradition. These sacred temples remain open only for six to seven months each year, as winter snowfall blocks access routes. The yatra season generally begins around Akshaya Tritiya and continues until Diwali.
